Job Description:
We are looking for an individual who will be a HVAC Service / Customer Assurance Department (CAD) Manager. Essential Attributes and Skills: • May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 5-7 years of related experience. • Familiar with a variety of the HVAC Service field's concepts, practices, and procedures. • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • Performs a variety of management tasks. • Ability to lead and direct the work of others. • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. HVAC Service Manager Tasks: • Provide customers with price estimations for parts and labor; effectively estimate project hours for specific services and coordinate with team to shorten downtime. • Work with customers and team to provide technical support, resolve issues, and provide HVAC product maintenance. • Manage, develop and lead HVAC service staff by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and reviewing the performance of all staff employees. • Maintain a well-trained team that is up to date on new technology, use tools and materials properly and provide each customer with quality workmanship. • Oversees the modifications performed by the department on standard HVAC equipment sold by Lohmiller and Company to ensures work is completed according to company specifications and established safety guidelines. • Supervises and coordinates the Start-up services provided on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems sold by Lohmiller and Company. • Represents Lohmiller and Company as the Distributor Service Manager to Carrier Corporation resolving customer care cases passed down from Carrier Corp and creating cases to Carrier Corp to report quality issues along with authorizing warranty claims that are above and beyond what the Warranty Admin is able to process. Directly Reports To: • VP of Commercial and Engineering Sales HVAC Service / CAD Managers’ responsibilities include leading their technicians who start-up and perform warranty service work on HVAC units, ensuring customer satisfaction, training new employees, and responding to service calls. Other management responsibilities of this roll are to manage the Warranty Claims Administrator and the warranty claims on all products by all vendors Lohmiller and Company sells. The CAD Department also is the technical training department for our customers and employees. The CAD department performs a large amount of training during the fall, winter and spring, and this position is responsible for managing the entire Lohmiller technical training offered. This job has physical - as well as mental - components. HVAC / CAD managers need to be able to use relevant tools in HVAC repair; they also must possess excellent customer service skills to communicate with clients about necessary repairs. The ability to squat, kneel, bend, and perform other physical movements required during repair is also necessary. Most of the time, HVAC Service / CAD managers work during the regular business hours, but they may respond to service calls outside of these times. They often work 40 hours a week, although overtime may be required. Position is full time. Monday through Friday.
