Job Description:
Auburn Career Center is seeking a qualified Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning instructor to work in our Adult Workforce Education Department. Instructors are expected to teach in classroom and shop settings. This position will instruct participant’s career exploration and development, materials, estimating, communications, leadership and teamwork, safety, health and environment, legal and ethical aspects, problem solving and critical thinking, tools and equipment, electrical processes, refrigeration, cooling and air conditioning, heating systems, heat pumps, installation and air distribution and hydronic using approved curriculum. 1. Develop supporting training materials 2. Coordinate hands-on training activities including on-site projects 3. Demonstrate proper tool and equipment use, with an emphasis on safety 4. Knowledge in HVAC preventative maintenance skills 5. Safety procedures in HVAC, including general safety, electrical safety, tool safety
