Job Description:
We have customers throughout the state of Virginia! You run calls for the customer sites in the geographic area that you live. Our biggest current needs are for techs that live in the Hampton Roads area, as well as techs that live in the Lynchburg, Danville, and Roanoke areas. We have taken on several large customers since January 1st, 2012, which is causing us to ramp up significantly in service technicians throughout the state. A Commercial HVACR Service Tech will perform service and maintenance on HVACR equipment in the area that he lives. Technicians will be a part of an on call rotation. Our techs do not report to an office every day. They are dispatched directly from their home to their service or maintenance call. Our customers include a lot of multi site retail customers, churches, and some industry. This includes splits systems and RTU's. We have some chiller and boiler work in some areas for those techs with that level of experience. Job Duties: Build strong customer relationships; build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations. Provides preventive maintenance on heating and cooling systems. Troubleshoots units that are not working and replaces parts that are defective. Performs related work as assigned. Repairs refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, control systems, and humidity and temperature control systems. Troubleshoot and repair all electrical and mechanical components of HVAC equipment. Provides startups and troubleshooting for a variety of commercial HVAC systems, meets with customers, evaluates their needs and makes recommendations. Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairing of commercial/ industrial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems. Qualifications: 5 years’ service experience specific to Commercial and Industrial HVAC/R. Refrigeration experience such as: ice machines, walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, etc. EPA Universal Certified. High school diploma/GED. Strong knowledge of HVAC, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of basic electricity and electrical and control systems. Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative in servicing customers and maintaining positive customer relations. Be Drug Free and Pass a Criminal Background Check
